We designed and built the website of Nelly Morales, a real estate professional in Caracas. On a desktop her home page does not scroll down: eight full-screen scenes replace each other sideways as the wheel turns.

A real estate site built as a story before a catalogue.

The site introduces one professional and the way she works, with a selection of properties she maintains herself. So each page is crossed with a gesture of its own: the home page sideways, the services by hand.

Eight scenes, three seams.

On a desktop the home page is one timeline tied to the wheel, carrying eight full-screen layers. Three kinds of seam join them: a layer covers the one before, pushes it out flush, or pulls away and uncovers what was already waiting beneath. The first, the curtain over the headline, closes by itself once the reader has scrolled a tenth of its distance.

The photo was already there.

The method panel moves off and the first featured listing is behind it, as tall as the screen. Then it shrinks into one card of a carousel fed by the catalogue.

Nine pages, turned by hand.

The services are nine full-screen pages, each with one large word and one sentence. The wheel and the keyboard do not turn them, on purpose: the reader presses, holds and drags, or uses the one button in the corner.

Let go, and a spring decides.

Holding pulls the picture back into a curved frame crossed by scan lines. Dragging lifts the sheet by a corner and rolls it along its diagonal. On release a spring finishes the turn if the sheet was past half way or moving fast, and otherwise lays it back down.

Five languages, one catalogue.

The site reads in Spanish, English, Russian, Chinese and Arabic. In Arabic the page mirrors, while the pinned scenes keep running left to right so the travel still works. The display face covers Latin only, so each script gets its own font stack and each language its own size ceiling. Listings come from one form of nineteen fields that the client fills in herself, and a change reaches the site in about a minute.

Contact opens WhatsApp.

The contact page is a single screen: four fields with their labels set at headline size. Sending posts nothing to a server. WhatsApp opens with the message already written from what was typed, and the site's other calls to action do the same with a line of their own.
