In a terminal each part usually has a screen of its own; here they are sixteen modules in four groups inside one shell. The screens on this page are interface studies with demo data. The port operator is not named.

The basin, seen from above, comes entirely out of code: quays, breakwaters, the fairway and the berths. Each ship is a parametric shape at any length and heading, and its state is in its line: pale when working, amber when held, dashed when at anchor. Out at sea, a ship under way trails a dotted wake and carries its course ahead of it. The berth plan sets the next 24 hours on one strip, with a red line at now.

The yard is blocks seen from above. Each square is one stack, and the taller the stack the brighter the square, so a full block stands apart from an empty one before a single figure is read. Colour appears only where it means something. It is the rule this site keeps for its own red.

The container in alarm opens a panel of its own: supply air against its set point, and the trace of the last hours, which changes colour where it leaves the band. Under it the custody record reads step by step: who signed each handover, and when. Its place in the block is a single red square.
The system proposes. The shift decides.
Four machine systems share one switchboard: quay cranes, guided vehicles, smart gates and port lighting, each with its switch and its state. Alerts arrive with their next step, and the planner's suggestions with their reason. Every suggestion can be applied or left for later, and the decision stays with the shift.
